Stacey Copeland led audio production as audio director and executive producer of Untold Noise (2014). A music documentary short produced by Ariel Yang and directed by Nicole Lawr under the production company Dead Beat Productions. Untold Noise explores Toronto’s noise punk community and the city’s place within the music industry as an emerging mecca of creativity and art. The film captures the shape and driving force of the community, while exploring the overall shift in the industry towards an independent attitude. Featuring interviews from key local organizers like Toronto Wavelength, Weird Canada, Buzz Records and Pleasence Records, with exclusive live footage of Toronto noise acts The Soupcans, HSY, and THIGHS. Copeland captured all audio for live performances and interview materials, she also mixed all music tracks and the final cut.
